Hey Everyone,
I know that I do not update often but I am trying.
Mj is still living in the nursing home. After over a year of no physical therapy, he has started again. Unfortunately that is going to be on hold again as he just had surgery to remove a gallstone that had caused a blockage and will need his gallbladder removed soon.
I truly wish my father had more motivation. My fiance, myself and my children have tried everything. We have yelled, screamed, cried, begged, bribed him with a all expenses paid trip to and from Mississippi, prayers, friends, family... we have tried everything.
My twins are turning 8 this summer and our little one is 3 1/2. NONE of them have even held a rod in their hands because Papa is the one that is suppose to teach them. Every spring I dream of getting them rods for Easter but without my father, I cannot do it. Getting married is on hold because I cannot walk down the aisle knowing my father is alive but cannot be by my side.
I visit my father 2 days of the week but now that we are a two vehicle family again, I hope to visit more. It just sucks because cape traffic sucks in the summer. The 15min drive turns into over an hour.
For Father's day, I was able to take the kids to visit my father for the first time since last March. My daughter is 100% Papas girl. The joy and love on her face was such a heart warming reminder of how incredible my father is. How blessed I am that although things have not turned out how we hoped, he is still here with us.
He misses you guys. So many of you have played such a huge role in the man that he is and I can't thank you all enough for all that you have done.
Please stay happy and healthy. I'll update again when I can.
Sincerely,
Amanda A.K.A Scupgirl
