just signed up great looking site I just purchased a 1984 V20 steplift project I was originally looking for a hull to mount my 3 year old 115 optimax to but I think Im going to sell that and get a 150 or 175. The boat needs a new floor, motor, cosmetics and probably stringer repair before i splash it. Anyway i will be putting up some pics soon and the project will get off to a slow start because in a couple weeks i will be in a cast to the knee due to ankle reconstruction. So i will be on the computer alot.
For now im getting my 84 proline 17 cc ready for striper and tog fishing and putting it up for sale to fund my new project (gonna miss this boat )doesnt really need any more work and building and setting them up is as much a hobby as useing them. Anyhow looking forward to useing this site and my V20 out for now.

. I cut back the glass to where it got solid again and opened it up. Based on what i saw I decided to cut the whole deck out.The deck was detached from stringers 1-1/2"drywall screws were used far and few between to hold ply to stringers
.If i'm gonna fix this thing i'm gonna do it once. When The floor was done a new fuel tank was put in and the access panel was eliminated I removed the tank to find that it was foamed in place and the foam was completly saturated under the tank & about 1/3 of the way up.The foam smelled of gas
. There is .50 cents worth of pvc under the tank for transferring water from fore to aft.It had a large crack in it causing water to enter the tank cavity and saturate the foam causing the tank to pit and leak. Conclusion some stringer replacement/repair.Fuel tank, hoses, hardware replacement.Replace deck with marine plywood re glass deck.About $2K and should have a solid boat ready for repower.
