we had a beautiful december weekend down here in PCB so i decided to go fishin ...me and a friend headed down to the st. andrews bay pass to look for the big reds......stopped and bought some live pilchers from the bait boat and when we got there we seen the parking lot of boats drifting the green buoy and joined in the fun....was a great day for the reds!! actually the most fun i've had fishing since i been here cuz i was spoiled on the striper blitz's in VA lol we were catchin em on every drift..most of the time with both of us hooked up....i stopped counting at around 12 or so...most fish were in the 30-35+ inch range....all were released to fight another day except one that won the under 27" slot lottery and won a all expense paid, one way trip to Kajun's grill ;D

here's a few pics...

Nice going Kajun, looks like you guys had a blast!
Are those reds equivelent to a Striper (fighting power)?

sean..yea i think they fight alil harder than a striper...maybe its cuz i hadn't caught a striper in a year? lol they are basically big freaking croakers..so imagine catching a 30inch croaker lol

Cool underwater hand pic 8) Redfish are awesome. I'm glad they have the slot limit rule in place. I think it really makes a difference in the reproduction of these fish. If they didn't taste so dang good they wouldn't have to have to be so strict. ;D

Nice trip, having caught both reds and stripes on the same trip several times this month, I'd give the edge to the reds. If tied tail to tail, a 28" red will drag a 36" rock around backwards I'm afraid ;)

I hear you AIR, pound for pound Stripers are really not that powerfull.. Give them 2, maybe 3 good runs and they are whipped. If only Blue Fish could get to 30, 40lbs ;D Now that would be fun ;D
