Re: Pollack at Eastmans 11-25-07 (pics)

Nice going Bass! I bet that 28lbr put up a nice fight getting pulled up from the darks! Full cooler and great weather to boot...
I have never been Pollock/Cod fishing before and defently plann on doing at least 1 trip this year.
How deep were you guys fishin and how heavy were the jigs?
Before my buddy closed up shop last week I had him line up one of my set ups with 200yds of 80lb braid and i picked up a few Jigs. I couldn't believe it when he handed me two 1lb crippled herrings :o I rigged them with a pink teaser about 18inches above the jig..
Lets do a V20 Cod trip! ;D!

Thanks Sean

I stated the depth and the jig details on the post right between the first two pics... I have 50 lbs yellow powerpro topped of with 20 ft of 60 lbs mono. They are fishing another two weekends and reservations are a must, for you its ony about 2 hours...

Great shots!! I love Pollack!

I plan on a couple of trips next season, I have some numbers that get fish all summer!

Cod fishing I bet we could do 4 or 5 on my boat, we will have to make a date next season!!

My vote goes to these guys the Eastmans fleet, I've always done well with them.

Two years ago, I organized a Spring time cod/haddock private trip, I had the whole boat for 16 of us, friends and family. between my two kids and I we boated 76 haddock and I didn't bother to fish while the bite was hot, the joy of seeing the kids double up most of the time was good enough for me ;D

BTW, I'm going to book a 6 pack trip with them for mid May( just before the stripers and fluke arrive) cod & haddock at its best, I have 3 places left, so If some of you want to joint let me know soon.

Frances Fleet in Point Judith

I went on them once only once!! It was a nightmare!

Some because some fat jerk that got sea sick and cryed heart, we had to go back in after steaming 2 hours to fish!!

Then the Captins fault instead of calling the trip and let us go another time we headed back out but to inshore water and came home with crap for the day! >:(
Bigest fish pool was won by a 5# Cod :(

And at the end of the day the fat F**** was waiting at the dock for a friend! >:(

We never went all the way in, we stayed about 3 miles out while the CG took him off the boat.

The best boat around, with out a doubt,  is Kayman Charters out off Gloucester MA ( www.kaymancharters.com ) Pollack are just a teaser on his boat, Cod and Haddock are his specialty.
Lets do a trip!!! ;D
