Post Site Problems Here!

It's a login issue that makes posts look like they have already been read. I don't think it's an actual problem, it happens to me on some of the other forums I vist that use Vbulletin. I believe it is just a Vbulletin deal.

I think what vBulletin considers to be new posts are posts that have been made within the past 48 hours or so, whether you read them or not. I seem to remember seeing some setting for that when I was setting up the board. I will check into this later when I have a little more time.

I'm glad to see that this is the biggest complaint.

Is this before I fixed your log in or after??

When I fixed the Log in it all looked good and I signed in as you, but did not try to upload a pic?

It was started about mid March 2007, after the move I noticed there were duplicate entries to most of the posts. There were also incorrect photo posts (mine and photobuckets problem) I had planned to correct when the post duplication was corrected.
It disappeared sometime after 2/25/08.
The double posting looked like this:

Okay, I found the Specs thread and I have manually pruned what are hopefully all of the duplicate posts from it. It took me three days of off and on work to get rid of them all. As you have probably guessed, the duplicate posts are some artifact of the move involving the database. I don't know why the thread itself disappeared. It seemed to have been deleted, so this may have been someone else's attempt at killing the duplicate posts? Do not know.

The biggest problem I see with that thread are the incorrect/missing images. All images should be either attached to the actual post or linked from our own Gallery. Photobucket sucks and should only be used for things you don't care about having tomorrow. Ideally, the creators of the posts with images need to upload their images to someplace stable, (i.e. not PhotoBucket), and edit their posts to display the correct images. If you need a WellcraftV20.com Gallery account, you need to talk with the Maco Man.

Is there a time limit as to how long I can be logged in and not active? :head: I notice that during the course of the night I have to re-log in from time to time if I was not using or doing anything.

When you log in make sure you check the box that remembers you. Other then that I am not aware of any time limts?? I have my computer on for days at a time and I am always loged in??

You may also want to check your temporary internet storage size. If you set it really low, then your surfing will be constantly overwriting your cookies which will cause you to not stay logged in.

Yes, your session is limited to 900 seconds of inactivity before you are automatically logged out.
