Pouring new transom / deck

Hi, I am planning on pouring a new transom and deck, and I am trying to figure out how thick the deck is.

Using a deck thickness of 1/2 plywood, The computer at Seacast's website gave me a number of 44 gallons to pour a new deck. This can't be right, when the transom is only 10 gallons.

Also, does anyone have the dimensions for the saddle tanks on a '74 ? Some overzealous person recycled mine while I was absent.

See if these dimensions are good for the 20 gallon tanks.
60" long, 17" high, 3" deep at the bottom and 6" deep at the top.
Remember the port and starboard tanks are not the same but are mirrors of each other.
 
just asking, why pour a new deck, why not just cut out & replace?

just doing a 6' x 12' cast of 3/4" would take about 34 gallons.
 
For your deck you may want to use ARJAY http://www.arjaytech.com/ since is has no fiber strands etc. It will pour and cure to a mirror finish for your deck. Since 15 times stronger than plywood, you can pour 1/2" ? I poured my transom back 08, I plan on using the same product to pour my stringers in the future.
 
Unless the fiberglass of your deck is worn through (doubtful) then WHY are you going to pour a new one? :head: Many a thread in here about repairing a soft deck, mine being one of them. I simply cut out the old deck, removed the old rotted wood under it, glued new plywood pieces to it and then encapsulated the whole thing with new fiberglass. It's labor intensive, but not really a hard process.
