WELCOME WILLMORG :)

I think I saw that boat on BOATRADER.COM, last year.

Good luck on your sea trial. I think you're gonna like it.

I didn't have a sea trial before purchase, cause the boat was on blocks in the original owners backyard, and I wanted to buy it before he changed his mind about selling it.

My very first sea trial / shakedown cruise with my V21 was a 12 hour overnighter, covering 36 miles, and saw about a half dozen sharks to 200 lbs brought to the boat.

YEAH... I THINK YOU'RE GONNA LIKE IT ;D
It has been for sale for about 9 months. The broker said the owner would never budge on the price. He finally lowered the asking price 2 weeks ago and I still offered less and he accepted.

My luck we have terrible weather this weekend. I'm hoping the waterways will be a little rough on Saturday for the sea trial.

The first overnight trip for me will probably in May when we go to Beaufort to fish for cobia.

This boat better catch fish too!

Will, I saw a site for rebuilt Mercs on THT recently...200s for $5800...If you get the boat and wanna look into these, let me know and I'll see if I can find it again... ;)

Will, did you notice on the spec sheet you posted under the HP rating "Horsepower Options" says 250 OB...wonder wasupwidat?... ???...next time you see that boat, look for the plaque....states max weight, persons and HP...what does that say?...

And check out "Performance Data" on that sheet...is anybody gettin' 30-33 mph @ 4000rpm w/a 150?...they musta slicked up the old girl's bottom... :D

Hey Will, not pickin' on ya here...just find this stuff curious... ;D...Thanx for postin' the sheet...

200 HP according the 1995 product sheet.

I'm already looking for a good deal on a 200 and I don't even have the boat yet :o

If you do - I may be interested in your motor!!

I noticed that it said max hp was 200 but they had a 250 hp power option??

Will. That's a good spec sheet, I also didn't know that the V-21 has less beam than the V-20. I'm learning new stuff every day. I wonder why Wellcraft upgraded to a longer, narrower, heavier boat with 1 degree more deadrise? Maybe more speed and/or for rougher water? And that sheet does say you can put a 250 Merc but only a 200 Yamaha on it. More deadrise does require more horsepower to get to the same speed so maybe the 200 is a misprint? I'm interested to hear what your plaque says too if it's still on there (mine's long gone). What do the other V-21 guys on this board have to say?

Sea trial went great and the boat is now in the driveway ;D

Tomorrow will be cleaning day. Electronics should be arrive next week. Then hopefully some fishing next weekend. Pictures coming soon!

The only thing I can make out on the plate is "PERSONS". Everything else has faded out. I may try some tactics I saw on a "CSI" episode, but I doubt that will work.

The bad news I found out today is I need to replace the floor in the cuddy. Anyone done this before?
