Question about startron

I have been using startron as long as I had a boat. Never real had an issue with it. But I was watching this girl ( chickanic) on you tube are she is very good , she works on small engines. She uses ethanol shield , she did a test and ethanol shield was the only additive that got rid of the water. So I’m thinking about switching to Ethanol shield Does anyone use it? How is it? Thanks any feedback would be appreciated

Most of that stuff is alcohol based, need to find out how the water is getting in your fuel. Best to have a Racor filter with a 10 micron cartridge in it. That should keep any thing in the tank from getting into your carbs.

Alcohol mixes with water and makes it pass through carbs and “burn”

We had issues with water in fuel on construction sites in small equipment and generators.. Mostly from turning the gas jugs completely upside down to get the last drop in the tank. We would pour some rubbing alcohol in the tanks to mix with water and get it to pass
