Striper bite is still going strong

Took a Friday off and headed down to Island Beach again, solo. Did not disappoint! Over a dozen bass 25" to 33" range. 2 for the cooler. Freezer is filling up. Gotta make another delivery to the sisters soon.
Haven't had anything really big this fall but can't complain about steady action.
Hoping the wind doesn't get ugly this Sunday like last Sunday's SW blow. We were tip toeing thru some nasty swells to get some blues and a keeper bass straight out of Manasquan Inlet. So I guess there are some fish between Manasquan and Island Beach.

Good to hear that the bass are around, but where are the lunkers?? I was once told that if you want to catch the big ones, you have to put in the time.

Bigger stripers moved down the coast, and into Delaware Bay in the last few weeks.
These have been large stripers - lots of 20-40 lbs, and a few into the 50lb range.

There may be more large fish, or not....... Typically the end of the bite is marked by the schoolie sized fish......26"-29"..

That's been my experience.

Well, Sunday was windy from the SW again. Instead of going straight to boat, I took a detour to Seaside Park to eyeball the conditions. At 8 AM there was an armada of boats headed south to Island Beach. There were masses of birds from SS park on down to a fleet parked off IBSP. It looked pretty bumpy and wet. I saw maybe two 20' boats and they must have REALLY wanted to catch fish to take that 15 mile drive.

I went home and raked leaves.

Pulling for the season this coming weekend. Maybe I'll get one more shot at them.
