We need to start a 60mph club.

ah com on get rid of the kicker motor. what are we talking here almost 500 hp ???
awesome to the max!

LMAO, I DID take it off later in the day...LMAO As to HP, well, I figure its right around the 450-500 with a 750 or 800 carb. I have it choked off a bit with a 600. It has the HD drive gears, shower head, and just so much more. Man, it was like monster garage for boats....:sun: Just had a super day with it.

I never let you guys know how fast she floats....LOL

We did NOT hit 70mph. I have it limited to 5300rpm, and all she will give me there is 67mph. Its not bad, bouncing the front end, but I am sure that has more to do with my skills in getting trimmed right. It didnt do any chine walking, I wonder if there is a differance between the I/O boats and the Outboards???

We were not light by any means, full tank again, 60gallons, and 2 250+ guys, and me, at 160. One yeti cooler full of pepsi. We were on the water about 730am, then promptly spun the prop hub:head: after a speed run. But, got a new one on, and we where in the boat till 900pm:sun:

I have to admit, it was really cool being the fastest boat, including jet skis, on the lake wendsday. Them poor boys never stood a chance....:nut:

I also got looked at funny, and kinda implied I didnt know what I was talking about at the local marina there, when I was hunting for a prop hub for the "Bravo 1 24p" for the Wellcraft 20V. Promplty took the guy for a ride after it was fixed....he was simply stunned:sun:

You ask about outboard - the boat for sale on Long Island, Lindenhurst I believe.
He's got a racing powerhead on a Merc 200hp and claims to hit 65mph.
It's less than 300 hp, but that's what he says it will do so whatever.....

Another cool thing about the rig you've set up is that it can " cruise " at 50 mph all day, just loafing along !

that calculates to 16% slip, not bad, but not real good. How much throttle do you have left in it at 5300? You may want to step up to a 26 p. Using the same slip, that will put you at 73. You should have better slip numbers with that prop

Well, believe this or not, I had the prop on wrong :head: Maybe affecting the slip %. I had two back washer on it, which had it spaced out about 1/2 inch. I have allot of throttle left. Like, way bunches. I have it all limited thru the ignition. If I had the nuts, I am pretty sure I can turn 6500-7000rpm with that prop.

Well, spent the day converting the trailer from roller to bunk, here are some pics....

I think you need to try another prop, btw, be easy on those hole shots if you want that drive to live. I've converted a couple trailers with that set up, its not easy, but its worth it.

This prop is going to have to work, unless someone wants to trade down to it, for a larger one...LOLOLOL

Not doing any heavy holeshots with it, trying to stay alive:hide:

I am in---made a run from Seattle to Cape Flattery and back in less than a day--and it was not opened up===

But the best is 113.4MPH on radar going across Lake Washington---It was CRAZY fast!!

Holly crap......I guess I am going to need to change the rev limiter from 4700rpm to the full boat 6500rpm.

Might get us to triple digits......
