What year V-20 is popular

I'm new here but this thread prompts the following questions:

"What contribution does Wellcraft provide this forum if any? Do they provide any sponsorship, technical assistance, company point of contact, etc.?"

Do we have anyone on the inside?

Is the company interested to know what owners of their product have been doing with them? Especially the earliest vintages?

If the answers are in the negative, has anyone from the forum approached the company?

Just a "newbie" wondering.

V/R, Slow

Back in 1999, when I was putting the '74, my 1st V20 together, I called Wellcraft and had a great conversation w/one of their guys...he was very helpful and very knowlegable about the '74...the one thing he stressed was for me NOT to try to install a belly tank...

Bad practice

Wellcraft….16 years after my V20, same quality issues still persist. Good quality = return customers, positive reputation !
Looking at new Wellcraft purchase and concerns of current construction methods deemed a Wellcraft contact was necessary. Dealer / company no replies. New Wellcraft purchase no longer my interest.
Following photos of a 2002 210 Tournament Series !

210 Tournament Edition….looking at possible purchase until I discovered this ^

at port stern rod holder ^

After drilling out for installation of rod holder I would coat the marine plywood with a sealer or fiberglass resin to protect from any water . I noticed possibly 5200 or similar sealer was used on top side.Usually fresh water is a bigger enemy then salt water. Not to worry it could still be repaired.

soggy wood prevailed through out gunwale, which threw up a flag for other areas with wood coring. this rod holder was factory installed and should have been sealed. repairable yes….correct construction no !
