The v20 is an 88' saw it for sale on the internet...fell in love with it and knew it had potential. I had it flatbedded to NY. It was chalked out and faded by the harsh Florida sun where it sat tied up to a dock for two years.

Even the top of the outboard cowling was chalked-out and faded. This is pure neglect + UV radiation.

I went right to work by tearing down the 150hp johnson. The water jackets were full of salt. Used "salt away" to flush out all the salt phospates, scales and gunk...and it worked! The piston rings were stuck with carbon build up because the last owner did not know how to premix his oil and his VRO unit crapped out. Love those Johnson VRO's!!....NOT!

Nothing on the boat worked. Flipped on the bilge switch and the engine tilted. ripped out the old wiring harness...garbage...it was all non tinned copper wiring, the same stuff that is used in automobiles. A good amount of it was green with corrosion. Replaced it all with Ancor marine grade wire.

lounge seat install...I enlisted the help of my buddy Dave Block...thanks dave! The original seats were shot... cracked peeling vinyl... frame was rotten and corroded.

Here I am with the boat....finally looking half way respectable. The former owner must have been color blind... maroon bimini and blue bottom paint. The bottom was amazingly free of osmotic damage and barnacle growth considering it sat around in the water for two years....

Had to buy a new bimini. Sunbrella "pacific blue" and 7/8 stainless steel bimini frame. Got it customed designed from a Canadian company. Thanks to the exchange rate it was dirt cheap compared to the ones sold at "Boat US" or "West Marine.
