OK, so I finally got some pics of my project boat, which was not a project until it sank last year. I just ordered a 2004 Evinrude Ficht 150 with <50 hrs and a 7 year warranty.

This is the back with the damaged bench and engine.

This is a view of the missing windshield, no cabin door and the semi completed console repair.

The heavily damaged 2001 Ficht 150.

proof that the hull is in fine shape and worth the repairs

As a new member, you are required to turn over that bench seat to me as stated in By-law 53545374 sub-sec. a1bs123945. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Since I live right down the street, I get first dibs!! ;) I can be there in 10 min!!

Sniped again hammer!! ;D

Dosent look bad!! should clean up well!! Will the lower unit and maybe other stuff fit the new motor?? Be nice for the parts?

If you need any help just give me a ring!! I can take pictures and keep the seats warm!! ;)

Anyone have any experience with bending stainless. I want to reshape the bowrail a bit. It is not too bad, but.... I was planning on removing it and pounding the crap out of it (using wood braces). I believe heat would ruin it. Perhaps a tubing bender rental??

I believe they are cold formed on a mandrel, you would have to do the same with a large pipe bender I think. Hammering it won't do anything but damage the surface.

Absolutely no heat, you will discolor the steel and
temper it, loss of strength.
Tubing bender is the way to go.

You need to remove the section that is bent and fill it with sand. Once filled, cap off the ends and then start to rebend. Thats teh Old Skool way of doint it. ;)

yep thats the way to do it!

The other way is to remove it!! Best thing I ever did!! Makes anchoring nice and easy and looks goo to!
