I did it

personally i think hes crazy... plus hes got to convert it to a short shaft

Just tell him to add a fixed jack plate, that will raise it 5 inches giving him a short shaft.

I thought going to a short shaft was easy, by just putting a short shaft lower unit on??

I know going longer means a spacing kit and other stuff, making it harder??

reel were lookin at 2-4 inches of snow tomorrow ;Dso no water for me yet hes prob gonna have the boat another week I think , then Iam getting the bottom done,,,,, Iam in no rush ;) ;) ;)
 
well shes there I can pick it up sat afternoon,
he ( jarvis marine ) told me in a serious face to be careful that this motor on theses steplift will have the power to throw you rite out of the boat..... dont know if I over powered or not??

You'll be fine, just have to learn to control that right hand....you know, judiciious throttle use. Just cause all that power is there don't mean you got to use it ;D
 
Lumberslinger178, can't wait to hear about your first run. Tom Jarvis and his crew are great people to deal with. He does my repairs. After you pick up the boat head up to Allens seafood in New Gretna and get some deep fried lobester :) . Also if you take your camera see if you can get pictures of the 86 Wellcraft dual console with 225 suzuki for $8000. that Jarvis Marine Brocker has listed. Crusher

Crusher I love those deep fried lobster tails at allens i still got my tee shirt around some where ,,, where is the 86 dually located I will snap some pics and post them
